Donations
Your donations to Congregation Shaara Tfille are a crucial part of our annual budget. Dues only cover part of the expenses for the synagogue, programs and outreach.
The High Holiday Appeal is our largest fundraiser each year, but all donations, large and small, throughout the year are welcome.
Our donation categories include the following:
- General Contributions: A donation in any amount to mark a yahrzeit, a simcha or any occasion.
- Operations Fund: Building and grounds maintenance, repairs, renovations, expenses, and staff salaries.
- Cemetery Fund: Upkeep and beautification of the cemetery.
- Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund: Special projects and assistance to those in need, decided by the Rabbi.
- Website Fund: Development and maintenance of our new Website.
- Memorial Candles: Donations for receipt of Yahrzeit Candles from the synagogue.
- Prayer Books: A donation of $36 for Lev Shalem in honor or memory of a loved one.
- Tree of Life: A donation of $200 for a gold leaf in honor of a living loved one or to celebrate a simcha on the Tree of Life in the Lobby. Please contact the Office with the wording for the leaf.
- Memorial Plaques: A donation of $500 for a memorial plaque on the Memorial Wall in the Sanctuary in memory of a loved one. Please contact the Office with the wording for the plaque.
- Mitzvah Club: A donation of $1000 annually.
